Man in East Naples Arrested for High Speed Chase

A 24 year old man in East Naples has been arrested after a deputy chased him at speeds nearly reaching 100 mph.
Marc Saber Soto has been charged with eluding a marked law enforcement vehicle and racing on a public road.
Around 7:15 pm on Sunday, August 5, 2007 a Collier County sheriff's deputy spotted a white Jeep Cherokee and a silver Nissan Altima speeding through the streets. They were clocked on the deputy's radar at 93 mph.
After the police car's lights and siren were activated, the Jeep pulled over, but the Nissan raced off at about 100 mph.
The deputy spotted the Nissan, and the driver took the police officer for a high speed chase. When the driver finally pulled over, the police noticed Soto's father was also in the car with him. Soto and his father both laughed about being pulled over.
