I was recently pulled over for speeding. The cop said he caught me on his laser gun going 78 in a 70, when I know I was hardly going 72. Do I have the right to ask to see the laser gun? Is there anything I can do?

Yes, in fact you do have the right to request seeing the laser gun following a speeding ticket. Certain states will allow you to defend your speeding ticket case as studies have found laser guns can be inaccurate at times. For example, in California, if the laser gun was not calibrated within 10 days before the incident, you would win your case. Laws vary by state so you should consult with a local Traffic Attorney to evaluate your defense options.
