Other Virginia speeding penalties include: If you are driving 10 to 19 miles over the speed limit, you will have four points added to your driver's license. If your are driving 20 miles over the speed limit, six points will be added to your driver's license - the same number that would be added if you were caught driving under the influence. In both cases, you will also pay a fine plus surcharges.
