Texas has some of the toughest traffic laws in the country so if you get pulled over and get Tx traffic tickets, be prepared to pay the cost. For example, some charges carry surcharges where you could be fined every year for the same violation. The points system in Texas is also stiff. Just one moving violation such as failure to yield, speeding or a passing violation can add two points to your driver's license. A moving violation that resulted in an accident will add three points to your driver's license.
