Traffic Violation Court

You are scheduled to traffic violation court and you are not sure what to expect. If you have been to court before, you may be thinking you will experience something like you have watched on "Law and Order." Traffic ticket court is more like "Night Court" but different in some ways. Most municipalities have their own traffic court. In small towns, city hall may be transformed to court. In larger cities, you will likely be in a traditional courtroom. All of the player you expect will be there. A judge will preside from the bench. A prosecutor will present the case to the judge. Defense attorneys will be present. Some may have a client scheduled to appear while some may be hoping to pick up a client from those in attendance. You may have a long wait. Cases are often called in what seems to be a random order. You cannot leave until your case is called. Be sure to be on time and dressed nicely for court. If you are late, the judge may issue a citation for failure to appear.
