Florida Right Of Way

Florida right of way is very clear in that it states no one has the right of way. What the law provides for is who must yield the right-of-way. When dealing with stop sign situations, pedestrians always have the right-of-way. From there, you can move forward only when the road is clear. At a four way stop, traffic moves in the order the vehicles approached the stop. If two vehicles approached the stop at the same time, then the driver on the left gives way to the driver on the right. For roundabouts, traffic entering the roundabout always yields to traffic in the roundabout. If there is an open intersection without traffic controls or signals, right-of-way is yielded to vehicles already in the intersection, to oncoming vehicles when you wish to make a left turn, to vehicle on a paved road when you enter from a non-paved road and when you enter a state highway from a secondary road. In addition, anytime a pedestrian has a walk sign, they have the right-of-way over a vehicle.
