Fix It Ticket

A fix-it ticket is pretty much a ticket for what the name implies- violations than can be fixed. Fix it tickets are easily corrected as long as you fix what you were ticketed for within the given time period. If you fix it, you must bring proof (usually a receipt) that the damaged item was fixed to your local courthouse or police station, at which time the ticket will be waived. If you fail to fix it, you will have to pay a fine, may get points on your record and risk being ticketed repeatedly until you fix the violation. Fix it tickets are commonly written for having a headlight out, a taillight out, a brake light out, a broken windshield, a damaged bumper, unsafe or bald tires, illegal tinting on your windows, not having a visible license, having expired tags, not being able to find your auto insurance, having a bad exhaust system, and having a non-working or weak horn.
