Dui Driving Record

DUI is the moving violation that identifies driving under the influence of alcohol. The blood alcohol level of an adult over 21 can be no more than .08 in most states. If a driver is arrested with more than that, they can face an immediate suspension of their driver's license in some states, plus jail time even for the first offense. They will be charged with a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on the state, and have a criminal record for years. For 2nd and 3rd offenses, the DUI driver's car may be confiscated and he may be required to attend DUI school and go through counseling. Most states have a zero tolerance law for drivers under 21, meaning even a minor amount of alcohol in the blood can result in a conviction. Most states require that a DUI conviction remain on a person's record for at least 10 years and some retain it for life.
