However, very close to the top is traffic school, which provides remedial teaching, review, and reminders of the safest practices to use on the road. Many people do not like to feel that they need remedial classes, but often for less than the cost of the ticket, they can take an 8-hour class that will allow the judge to dismiss their speeding charges. The only drawback for some drivers is that they can only go to traffic school once a year or once every 18 months. If they get another speeding ticket within those periods, they must either pay it or dispute it.
