To beat a parking ticket, you must build your case and prove your innocence. This begins by documenting the scene where you were ticketed. Bring a camera and take pictures of any problems with signage, such as signs being blocked, signs having graffiti or stickers on them that made them impossible to read or signage simply not being there. Take pictures of any faded or chipped instructions painted on the ground. If the meter was broken, blocked by a foreign object such as stickers or even snow or had any other problems, take pictures of that. Also, be sure to go over you ticket carefully to see if it contains any errors that could overturn it. And if you feel a meter's time was not correct, you have the right to ask for the calibration records to see if the meter is kept up to date.
