To beat a parking ticket, you must start documenting events the second you see the ticket. Photographs are the most effective weapons you have. Was there a problem with the meter? Was it blocked? On the other hand, jammed? Was there gum, or a sticker, or even snow on it? Or was the signage in the area not clear or not present? Was it blocked by a tree, truck, or covered in graffiti? Where painted instructions on the ground chipped, faded or hidden? Take pictures of anything that bolsters or proves you case. Next, examine the ticket carefully to see if there are any flaws of false information that could lead to a dismissal on it. Also, the meter may not be properly calibrated- you can request maintenance records to see if it was properly maintained.
